After more than two long years, I was finally able to leave home and travel to the island of Bohol. Bohol is just two hours by boat from Cebu. I have been to Bohol several times in the past since it is where my uncle and his family reside. For this trip, however, I was on the other side of this famous island to attend the opening and blessing of Parklane Bohol Resort and Spa in the town of Anda.
Our trip began in downtown Cebu City where we took a boat at Pier 1 for Getafe, Bohol. The boat ride was two hours long.
When we reached Getafe, we learned that visitors will be required to present a vaccination card and an ID. Good thing we came prepared.
After a very quick check, we finally got on a waiting van to begin the second half of the trip. From Getafe, we had to travel for an hour and forty-five minutes to get to the town of Anda where the resort was located. The trip was long but since I slept most of the time, I never really had any problem when it comes to motion sickness. Thank god!
After almost two hours, we were finally in Anda. Hello, Parklane Bohol Resort and Spa!
We were welcomed by the wonderful local team. Also with us was the Parklane Cebu team headed by none other than the General Manager Ms. Cenelyn.
After welcome drinks and a truly filling snack break, we were then led to our rooms where we had plenty of time to freshen up and relax. Our room was lovely, by the way.
I wasted no time, however, and went out to see what was waiting for us at the resort. And this was what I saw. My jaw dropped.
Nestled in the midst of lush greens and crystal clear waters, Parklane Bohol Resort and Spa was indeed a slice of paradise. And I personally love how they were able to develop around the natural features to highlight the beauty of the town. This viewing deck, for example, was great.
Need I say more? I could stare at this slice of paradise for days! I swear!
And check out the water below. You wouldn’t want to leave!
This pool right in front of the restaurant is just one of the three main pools within the resort. Now imagine enjoying the wonderful view while swimming in this lovely thing.
Before sundown, I was able to snap a photo of this scene. Drop-dead gorgeous, I must say. You wouldn’t want to go anywhere!
After we were fully rested, we were informed that dinner was ready. And what a wonderful dinner it was! It was a seafood boodle fight enough to feed a whole community. How amazing!
After the sumptuous dinner, we went straight to the first pool where a big movie screen was set up. It was movie night! Truly a perfect way to end the rather long day!
On day two, we woke up early to explore Anda. Our first stop was the Anda welcome sign, which, apparently should be every visitor’s first stop.
Here’s the whole team posing for a photo. How fun! Smile, guys!
Then, we were off to one of the many cave pools in the area. First, we dropped by the Combento Cave Pool in Barangay Virgen. The water was crystal clear and very cool!
Next, we visited the famous Cabagnow Cave Pool – a massive cave pool that’s guaranteed to blow your mind. It’s amazing in person so you definitely have to visit it one of these days.
Our next stop was the Quinale Beach – a popular public beach located right in the heart of the town center. It was truly heavenly!
We also visited the nearby town church to see the age-old murals and historical pieces inside.
These amazing murals were created in the 1920s. Hope the locals are doing things to help preserve these gorgeous pieces of art.
After our tour, it was time to head back to the resort and explore it a little bit more.
This one is Pool number 1 where we watched a movie the night before.
Of course, there’s pool number 2 located close to the restaurant.
And then there’s pool number 3 – an infinity pool which was even more gorgeous than the first two already gorgeous pools.
Above the pool is a round jacuzzi which offers an unrivaled view of the ocean below.
And, of course, I couldn’t resist. Here’s a shot of me enjoying the cool jacuzzi on top of main pool number 3.
Later, my friends Carlo and Xavier joined me for a couple of nice drone shots. Thank you for these, Carlo!
After enjoying the pools, it was time to head to the beach!
First, a quick timed solo shot because why not? Haha.
After enjoying the water for more than 2 hours, it was time to head back to our room to prepare for the program. There was a mass for the blessing and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Then, it was time for the party!
Here’s a drone shot in front of pool number 2 and the restaurant of the team.
And Parklane Bohol Resort and Spa is now officially open! Congratulations!
The evening was filled with exciting activities and inspirational sharing of experiences. Also, there were fire dances, musical performances, and, of course, a lot of mouth-watering local treats! How lovely!
The next day, we headed back to the water first thing to enjoy the rest of our remaining time in Bohol.
Afterward, it was time to pack and prepare to travel back to Cebu City.
Thank you for the wonderful welcome and accommodation, Parklane Bohol Resort and Spa. I will definitely come back to this gorgeous piece of paradise one day! I promise!

Hi,
May I ask what was your transportation from Getafe port to Parklane Anda? And how much, if possible?
Hello! We were picked up by the Parklane Anda van. You may contact them directly for transfer arrangements. 🙂
