The final stop in our Great Caraga Adventure was the quaint little city of Tandag to see the Twin Islands of Linungao. The City of Tandag is one of the most promising tourist destinations in the Caraga Region. With its very own airport, interesting spots, and amazing local culture, this gateway to the wonders of Region XIII is fast becoming a tourist favorite.
Our home for two days and one night was the Villa Maria Luisa Hotel.
The hotel looks bland from the outside. But inside, it’s pretty dashing and interesting.
Behind the hotel, we saw two huge pools.
Here is a shot of the two pools of Villa Maria Luisa Hotel. Don’t they look pretty?
And right behind the hotel is one of the most beautiful things you will see in Tandag City.
Next, we traveled for a couple of minutes to the Twin Islands of Linungao in Tandag City.
Directly in front of that hill, and forming the mouth of a small bay, is an exactly similar looking island.
There, we saw local kids playing with their battery-operated toy boat in Linungao in Tandag City.
Then, we decided to climb up one of the islands.
At the very top was this beautiful grotto of the Our Lady of Lourdes.
Also, this concrete walkway behind the grotto leads to a cave filled with bats. However, we didn’t go there. Instead, we enjoyed the amazing view of the fishing village below.
Here is an amazing view of Linungao from the concrete walkway.
Finally, it was time to go down the steps back to our waiting van.
