The final stop in our Great Caraga Adventure was the quaint little city of Tandag. The City of Tandag is one of the most promising tourist destinations in the Caraga Region. With its very own airport, interesting spots, and amazing local culture, this gateway to the wonders of Region XIII is fast becoming a tourist favorite.
Our home for two days and one night was the Villa Maria Luisa Hotel.
The hotel looks bland from the outside. But inside, it’s pretty dashing and interesting.
Behind the hotel, two huge pools can be found.

Right behind the hotel is one of the most beautiful things you will see in Tandag City.
We traveled for a couple of minutes to the Twin Islands of Linungao.
Directly in front of that hill, and forming the mouth of a small bay, is an exactly similar looking island.
Local kids playing with their battery-operated toy boat in Linungao.
We then climbed up one of the islands.
At the very top was this beautiful grotto of the Our Lady of Lourdes.
A concrete walkway behind the grotto leads to a cave filled with bats. We didn’t go there, however. We enjoyed the amazing view of the fishing village below, instead.
Amazing view from the walkway on Linungao.
