After a full day of exploring churches and beautiful spots, checking in at Sola Hotel felt like stepping into a peaceful oasis. From the moment we arrived, I was struck by the hotel’s modern Ilocano-inspired design. It has warm tones, thoughtful architecture, and subtle local touches that made it feel both contemporary and deeply rooted in its surroundings.
Sola Hotel Experience
Our rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything a tired traveler could ask for. The beds were great, it had a well-lit work station, they offered fast Wi-Fi, and the ambiance was calming and nice. The interiors had a mix of modern elements and local character — a reflection of the region’s ability to preserve the past while embracing the present.
The lobby and common areas were great, too. They gave off a quiet elegance that encouraged both relaxation and interaction. Whether you wanted to chill in a quiet corner with a cup of coffee or catch up with fellow travelers, the hotel provided the perfect space for it.
Beyond the aesthetics, Sola Hotel offers practical amenities that elevate the stay. The hotel has a cozy café and their staff were always courteous. More importantly, the hotel was just a short drive from Ilocos’s key attractions. As someone who hates long trips in enclosed vehicles, this was very important detail.
An Evening with Philippine Airlines
One of the most memorable moments of our stay happened that evening. The team from Philippine Airlines hosted a warm and intimate dinner right at the hotel. It was a thoughtful gesture that turned into a night of great conversations, laughter, and new discoveries.
Over a delicious spread, we got to catch up and hear about PAL’s latest activities and promos. We also learned about their new route expansions and exciting travel deals. It was inspiring to hear how the flag carrier continues to innovate and connect more Filipinos to their dream destinations, especially after the challenges of recent years.
It was a night that perfectly blended good food, good company, and meaningful dialogue.
With its blend of comfort, style, and genuine hospitality, Sola Hotel gave us a beautiful pause in our journey.
