by I recently got to stay at the beautiful Solea Coast Resort in Panglao, Bohol. Why, you ask? The Department of Tourism Bohol invited me to participate in their Media Familiarization Tour from December 18-20, 2024. This incredible opportunity, part of the Ubi Development Program, aimed to showcase Bohol’s potential as a top agritourism destination.

The focus was on “farm-to-table” experiences, celebrating the province’s culinary heritage and showcasing the unique Ubi Kinampay, a local variety of yam.

While the entire tour was a whirlwind of delicious food, stunning landscapes, and warm Boholano hospitality, my stay at Solea Coast Resort in Panglao was definitely one of the highlights.

From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the resort’s elegant design and the warm welcome from the staff. Although it was already dark when we reached the resort, I knew that the resort was going to be gorgeous. And indeed, I was right!

My room was a haven of comfort, featuring a private balcony that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. The resort itself was a paradise for relaxation, boasting a nice pool, a cozy restaurant serving fresh local ingredients, and a gorgeous rooftop bar where we enjoyed a refreshing cocktail on our first night on the island.

At the ground level, the beautiful pool greets guests the moment they walk in.

A Memorable Stay
Solea Coast Resort Panglao provided the perfect backdrop for our enriching experience in Bohol. The resort’s commitment to sustainability and its focus on showcasing local culture added a special touch to our stay. And to be honest, I left Bohol with a deeper appreciation for the island’s natural beauty, its vibrant culture, and its delicious cuisine.
