A Relaxing Time at Golden Sands Destination Resorts in Daanbantayan, Cebu

The invite to visit Golden Sands in Daanbantayan came when things were quite stressful and nerve-wracking both at work and at home. I really needed a break. A quick drive out of the city would’ve been enough. But this trip actually turned out to be just what I needed.

You see, I actually prayed for this, and I was rather surprised when it became a reality this quick. A day to let loose and just relax in a quiet property in Daanbantayan? That sounds like a perfect getaway. The sun shining, the breeze slowly caressing my face, my feet buried in the sand — what could be more amazing?

The five-hour motorcycle trip from Cebu City to the town of Daanbantayan in Northern Cebu was all worth it.

The Resort

Golden Sands Destination Resorts is a new beach resort in Daanbatayan. It is set to open this year or early next year.

The property is located in Sitio Suba in Barangay Maya. It is only a few minutes away from the Maya Wharf where you can get on a boat to reach the island of Malapascua.

Golden Sands Destination Resorts has a beautiful, uninterrupted white beach. It also has a natural lake in the middle of the property.

The resort has plenty of open spaces that can accommodate hundreds of guests at a time. As of this posting, the resort hasn’t been completed yet. However, it now looks more than ready to accept and satisfy customers.

They say that the beach brings out different sides of you that you never thought were there. I never knew I was a natural model. Hahaha!

There are sunbeds and cottages in various parts of the beach. They are placed far from each other to ensure that guests get to enjoy their own space in peace and quiet. If you want quality ‘alone time,’ Golden Sands is perfect for you.

The best part of the whole Golden Sands Resort experience was the golden sunset that greeted me just before I started packing my things. As expected, it was beautiful!

Before I even left the Golden Sands Resort in Daanbantayan, I was already sure that I would definitely come back. I know I always hope for the best, but I’m pretty sure that there would be days that would make me want to go back to the beach and just sit still and not have to worry about a thing.
